Part 1: Changing Sales and Marketing Trends Create High Impact Opportunity for Industrial Suppliers
As an Industrial Supplier (Manufacturer or Distributor) are you experiencing any of these 3 new Sales and Marketing Trends?

Fortunately, in the manufacturing sector, there is a unique type of content that achieves this right at the top of the prospect funnel and generates leads that convert to sales at rates up to 50%!
It’s called ‘Product CAD models’ - 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of your products are made available for download from the part detail pages of your website.
Here’s the user scenario;
- A designer working in their CAD system is designing a new product for their company – for example a new type of gearbox. According to CAD Trends 2015, 81% of manufacturing companies now use 3D CAD modelling to design products and that number continues to rise - it's forecast to be 83% in 2016!
- For that new gearbox design they need many parts e.g. gears, bearings, springs, shafts, connectors, seals and many more. Most of these parts will be existing components available from component suppliers. If possible, they save time and cost by using purchasable ‘standard’ components rather than custom build every component of a new design.
- They search online for those components. If they find and select your component, let them download the 3D CAD model right into their CAD design instead of redrawing it. For them the saved time makes them more productive. For you, your product just got ‘designed-in’ (inclusive of its part number) so that if and when the parts are sourced your product will be ordered. By the way, the typical manufacturing design engineer now downloads more than 50 CAD models/year!
